 The Department of Geology and Astronomy prepares majors for careers in earth sciences, earth and space science education, and geology. On the graduate level, the department provides courses for teachers who wish to broaden their knowledge in earth and space science. Science methods courses for graduate and undergraduate students also are offered.
The Department offers the Bachelor of Science in Geoscience and Bachelor of Science Education in Earth and Space Science. At the graduate level, the department offers the Master of Arts in Physical Science and courses for in-service teachers which satisfy Act 48 requirements.
